Career: Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Armstrong Atlantic State University
Adam M. Bossler, Ph.D. has been an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Armstrong Atlantic State University since Fall of 2005. He is the graduate coordinator of the Master’s degree program and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in criminological theory, research methods, and corrections. His current research interests include testing control balance theory and applying traditional criminological theories to cybercrime offending and victimization.
His favorite memories at Illinois State are of the discussions he had with Drs. Fleisher and Krienert on their trips to different parts of Illinois to collect data and conduct interviews for research projects. “I learned as much from them [Drs. Fleisher and Krienert] about criminal justice, how to conduct research, and the world of academia as I did in my courses and that is a sign of a strong graduate program where students can learn from direct involvement with the professors.”
