Graduate students are encouraged to develop a plan of study with the Graduate Coordinator, Dr. Dawn Beichner. Refer to the online Graduate Catalog and the Graduate School Web site for additional information.
During a graduate students second semester in the Masters Program, he or she must submit a plan of study to the Graduate School, indicating whether they will complete a thesis or take comprehensive exams.
Graduate students who complete degree requirements during the fall semester participate in commencement exercises in December; students who complete degree requirements during the spring semester or at the close of the summer session participate in commencement exercises in May. This regulation does not apply to doctoral students. All doctoral students must complete all requirements for the degree to participate in commencement.
Participation in commencement is voluntary. However, students planning to participate in commencement ceremonies MUST complete and submit the commencement Participation Form by the scheduled deadlines. Visit the Commencement Web Site for more information.
